Rounds 5 & 6, OGP

The final Rotax Florida Winter Tour weekend will take place at Oacala Gran Prix on March 19 - 21. Tim will be leaving for Florida at the end of this week (March 14) so call or text him if you need any karts / parts shipped and delivered to Ocala! (860) 318-1177.

Rotax Classes Rounds 3 & 4, West Palm, February 20 & 21, 2010

Many Oakland Valley Club racers were down in West Palm this past weekend for rounds 3 and 4 of the Florida Winter Tour series. Neil Verhagen in the Micro Max class and Gary Hattersley in the Senior Rotax were part of Tim Hannen's racing partnership with Team Birel America. Other OVRP drivers included Michael d'Orlando and Anthony Gangi in the Micro Max class and Gavin Reichelt in the Mini Max class.

2010 Oakland Valley Race Park Schedule Announced

Tim Hannen is pleased to announce the OVRP racing schedule for 2010. We will be running 16 points club races, as well as the Northeast Regional and New York State Rotax Max Challenge series, the New York Kart Endurance Challenge, and Supermoto and Mini GP motorcycle races. Vorndran, Radivoy and Beck podium at Raceway Park Turkey Race 11/23/09

Kristina Vordran wins her first race in a Birel, in the Junior TAG class at Englishtown's Turkey after a great battle with OVRP regular Thomas Radivoy. Tim Hannen also raced a Birel chassis in the TAG Masters class.

OVRP Under New Ownership

Hannen Motorsports is pleased to announce the acquisition of Oakland Valley Race Park on Friday November 13th. “We have put together a fantastic team for this venture including MRP / Birel America, Jay de Marcken and of course my parents, Peter and Colleen Hannen. Our focus is in developing a safe, friendly, and competitive environment for current and future racers”, says Managing Owner Tim Hannen, a lifelong educator dedicated to youth development through racing.

Racing will continue through the winter with four trips to Florida supported by the Birel America race program but not exclusive of any chassis brand. For 2010, four points races in the Northeast Max Challenge have been secured and a big announcement concerning an international race at Oakland Valley Race Park in June is imminent. We look forward to re-establishing OVRP as a World Karting Association “Master Track” as well as participating in WKA regional and national events.
