Welcome to the world of karting!

This is where Jeff Gordon, Ayrton Senna, Danica Patrick, Michael Schumacher, and most of today's racing stars started their careers in motor sports. In fact, seven time F1 champion Michael Schumacher was at the shifter karts Supernationals in Las Vegas just days before announcing his return to Formula one with the Mercedes Team.

Where do you start? (Karting is the best kept secret in motorsports!) Whether you are looking at entering the sport yourself or whether you want to get your kids started in racing, Oakland Valley Race Park strives to be the most user friendly racing venue in the Northeast. We can get you started in a racing school or in one of of our "Arrive and Drive" programs, you can go on and rent a full blown race kart, purchase a used kart or we can build your dream kart package starting with a new Birel chassis. But do your homework, browse the web, consult the leading karting publications, come and wander in our pits on a club race weekend, get a feel for it!
